On Friday, December 21, 2012 we visited the family of I Ketut Sumada, poor family at Banjar Sema, Bitera Village, Gianyar Regency.
We received information about this family from a local daily newspaper, Bali Post issued on Saturday, November 10, 2012. I Ketut Sumada (55 y.o) lived with his wife Ni Wayan Sudarmi (52 y.o), and 1 child and his mother. They lived in a poor house; without wall, without partition. Ni Wayan Sudarmi slept in the kitchen, even his mother Ni Nyoman Rempon (82 y.o) lived with the chickens. I Ketut Sumada worked as scavenger, while his wife sells pepes kacang -spiced nuts served with banana leaves- at Gianyar public market.
When we visited them at December 21, yesterday, their condition has been better. A community from Joger (word company of Kuta Bali) calling themselves Garing (tiga piring – three plates) have renovated their house. Thanks Lord, hopefully God will multiply their benefaction. Amen.
Here are some documentations taken.
