On 3 November we visited the family of Mr. Rahmad Hidayat, a poor resident suffering from acute respiratory disease, who lives near Waduk Muara, next to the fishing ponds on the eastern side of the Mal Bali Galeria, on Jl. By Pass I Gusti Ngurah Rai.
His two children had bad coughs last week but on this occasion their condition had improved as Ibu Vina Adinata had taken them to the doctor for treatment. It is very likely that their coughs are due to the large amount of dust from nearby earthworks.
BCC provided assistance as follows:
- A stock of masks
- Financial assistance to repair the bicycles used to take the children to school
- Financial assistance to buy medicine for Rahmad who suffers from gastric reflux
- A hot water thermos flask so that Rahmad’s wife can sell coffee again
- A parcel of basic foodstuffs and other goods
