I Nengah Tama and his wife have 4 children:

  1. First child: I Gede Yasa (Male/22 years old), studied until 4th grade only, he works as a construction worker in Denpasar
  2. Second child: I Nengah Merta (Male/18 years old/8th grade), quit school for a while
  3. Third child: I Komang Tunas (Male/16 years old/9th grade)
  4. Fourth child: Ni Ketut Rianti (Female/9 years old/3rd Grade)

The distance from their house to the elementary and junior high school is about 400-500 meter, all of them going to school walking. 

Source of Income:

  • I Nengah Tama and his wife work as brick making worker. They earn Rp. 50.000 each person per day, in a month they could work 20 times each person during the dry season.
  • During the rainy season when brick making work sometimes not available, he sometimes works as a casual worker/ construction worker depends on what kind of job available, meanwhile his wife works to make tamas (ceremony material) for sale. 
  • To get extra income, they also raise some chickens.
  • The family also receive low priced rice through Raskin program from the government. They get 15 kgs of rice per month at a cost of Rp. 24.000.

Living Cost:

  • School Fee is free. Uniform fee and books expenses paid once a year or only when necessary.
  • Children pocket money: Rp. 5.000 – 10.000 per child per day

  • Wall made of wood sheet and bamboo woven. Some part of the wall is covered with corrugated iron and used banner.
