- Nengah Kerti; a poor family in Dusun Celuk Mekar Sari, Desa Tiyingtali, Abang, Karangasem. The purpose of our visit was to gather information in connection with the plan of a donor to provide assistance to this family in the form of a cow.
In connection with the provision of a cow to the family mentioned in no. 13 above, we have gathered the following information form local residents and from the Banjar Chief of Tiyingtali Kaler, Ketut Sunarda (085792000342).
The cost of a calf that is old enough to be separated from its mother, that is about 6 months old, is Rp. 5 – 6,000,000 for a female calf and Rp. 6 – 7,000,000 for a male calf. Calves less than 6 months old cost less but there is considerable risk associated with the purchase of younger calves.
The information above will be shared with any potential donor.
