On Friday, June 1, 2012 we visited 6 poor families in two villages of Dawan District, Klungkung regency; 3 poor people from 3 poor families at Kampung Kusamba village and 3 other poor families at Besan Village.
Here are the profiles of the 6 poor families:
Zakaria, lived in Kampung Kusamba Village, Dawan, Klungkung. Before being paralyzed, Zakaria worked as the crew of barge ship at Kusamba/Padang Bai – Nusa Penida. In 1998 there was an accident and his feet was hit by the anchor, because of the late handling, his left leg should be amputated. After 12 years living with only one foot, in year 2010 he became paralyzed. Now most of his time was spent on a wheelchair donated by Koprasi Srinadi Klungkung.
Nurmah, because of her poor condition, we created specific profile for Ibu Nurmah.
Suhaibah, lived at a contracted home in Kampung Kusamba Village, Dawan, Klungkung. Suhaibah was paralyzed since 2006, without any obvious cause; first she felt like tingling start from her legs to the waist until she could not move her legs anymore. Her husband sells curtains from door to door, they have 2 smart children, now studying in the elementary school.
I Nengah Sutata and Ni Nengah Budri, husband-and-wife living in Br. Kanginan, Besan Village, Dawan, Klungkung.
Nengah Sulasna, lived in Br. Kawan, Besan Village, Dawan, Klungkung.
Ni Nengah Musti, kebetulan lewat, kami mengunjunginya kembali.
