The school located about 1 km from their house, their child goes to school walking.

Source of Income :

  • Gusti Wayan Sarjana works as a farm worker with wage of Rp. 50.000 per day. In a month, he could work 12 times.
  • His wife is a housewife, taking care of their children at home. She doesn’t have an income.
  • They have not received a rice for the poor program from the government.
  • There are some cows and ducks in their house compound. However they weren’t theirs, they belong to his in-law.

Cost of Living:

  • School Tuition Rp. 60.000 per month
  • Pocket Money: Rp. 2.000 – 3.000 per day

House condition: quite concerning, they live inside a place where it used to be a pig pen. The wall covered by old banner and rice sack, the condition of the ceiling frame at the back of the house is very concerning. To reach the house, one should walk on the rice field about 200 metres.

  • Wall made of batako brick (used to be a pig pen), old banner, used rice sack, corrugated iron etc.

  • Water available from the river
  • Land Status: owned by family
