I Ketut Rengut lives alone. His wife is dead. He has a son who works as a wood carver in Desa Menanga however he rarely visits his father.
Source of income: to fulfill his everyday needs, he sells produce from his garden e.g. bananas, banana leaves, cassava leaves, etc. At 3 am he walks for one hour to take his farm produce to sell in the market in the village of Rendang.
His dwelling: I Ketut Rengut’s home is in the middle of his farm about 40 minutes walk to the main road or less by motorbike. He has already received some help to repair his house and been given a mattress and pillows by a charity. There is no running or electricity. To get water, he has to walk 30 minutes to a spring or ask for water from his neighbours.
