Update on June 18th, 2017; His 3 children now live in Karangasem.
Update on May 28th, 2021; The condition more less still the same. His wife and 3 children still live in his village in Karangasem.
Right in the heart of Denpasar city, I Wayan Dana lived with his wife and three children in a self-built hut. The hut was created by collecting remnants of building materials from construction projects around Renon and the projects where Wayan Dana works.
They lived on a land owned by Bali provincial government, in this case, they work on the field. His wife, Ni Ketut Simpen worked as a farmer and raised the cow while taking care of their children at home.
The more sympathetic thing is the condition of their children; they are paralyzed, and are sufferred from mental retardation, none of them are sent to school. Their parents don’t understand about their children’s diseases, various medication methods have been carried out.
