- I Wayan Dangin works as a labourer on building sites and gets 70,000 Rupiah per day. He works about 15-20 days each month.
- His wife cannot work as she has to look after the children at home, especially the second child who cannot sit but can only lie.
- They receive a rice allowance of 10kg every 2 months from the government.
Their living costs:

- Pocket money for snacks at school 4,000 Rupiah per day
- The cost of routine therapy for the second child at the local Community Health Centre is covered by a government health scheme.
