    Updated on August 5, 2021; He is getting older, his eyes are blurry and he often gets sick. Recent photos can be seen at the bottom of this page.<\/p>\r\n

    Pekak (Grandfather) Tamben lives alone in a shelter in a field which is owned by someone else. Pekak has already worked there for years. The shelter itself is poor; it has soil floor, the wall was made from brick and mud, and the roof is made from iron sheet. The backside wall of the house had already broken and now it is covered using a used street banner. The other wall sides are also broken which provide a hole to let his doves come in and out freely as like they are sharing the room together. His room now is full of bird feces. Moreover, there is no electricity available at night time.<\/p>\r\n

    Pekak Tamben lives alone, his wife passed away a long time ago and he has no children. To fulfill his daily needs, Pekak Tamben works as a contracted farmer who also raises cows, chickens and doves of his landlord under a certain contract.<\/p>\r\n
