Made Rawan, Poor Elderly, Ill, Lives Alone, Who Works as a Sharecropper in a Salak Fruit Farm in Karangasem

I Made Rawan and his wife has one daughter who has been married to Buleleng, his wife has passed away, he lives alone. His condition; his legs are weak, can’t stand up or walk if there is no handle. He goes to work to tend the salak trees by dragging his body on the ground (as can be seen on the video).

Source of income:

  • I Made Rawan works as a sharecropper in a Salak farm, no regular income, he only gets around Rp. 200.000 on Salak harvest season which is once in every 6 months.
  • He also raises some chickens.
