A Visit to the Scavengers Village at the Landfills of Suwung, Pesanggaran

On Friday, July 18, 2014, we visited the scavengers’ village at the landfills of Suwung, Pesanggaran, South Denpasar. From the local information, there are about 500 poor scavenger families living in the huts around the landfills. Most of the people came from Probolinggo, East Java and Nusa Penida.
