A Visit to Karangasem with Little Hands – Big Hearts – Bali Community
On Tuesday, March 10th 2015 we accompanied contributors from Little Hands – Big Hearts – Bali Community; Mrs. Denise Burton, Ms. Mayke and Annie to visit students and poor denizen in several villages in Karangasem Regency.
First we visited the students of PAUD Abdi Lestari Kumara School, a neglected school in Dusun Putung, East Duda, Selat-Karangasem. On that occasion, the chief of customary village of Banjar Putung; Mr. I Made Puja. The donation handed are; stationery, used and new clothes for baby, children and adult and also toys for children.
Next, we visited Ni Ketut Rauh, a hard worker poor widow who has two children in Banjar putung, duda timur, Selat-karangasem. The donation handed are; basic foodstuff and clothes.
After that, we visited the students of PAUD kumara kerta Winangun school in Nawa Kerti Village, Abang-karangasem. The donation handed are; stationery, clothes for babies, children and adults and also toys for children.
Last visit was to Banjar Ancut; a poor area which suffering from the lack of clean water in Tista Village, abang-karangasem, to monitor the well drilling project which is expected to be able to be the solution to overcome denizen’s problem in clean water. Most of the fund of this project is a donation from Little hands-big Hearts-Bali Community.
