On January 13, 2022, Bali Caring Community (BCC) held health check-ups, provided vitamins and medicines to 30 children from underprivileged families in Besakih Village, Karangasem. This activity was held at the Wantilan Rumah BCC in Br. Besakih Kawan, Besakih Village, Rendang District, Karangasem Regency, involving several volunteers, doctors and other medical personnel.
On this occasion the children also received education about nutrition and health to provide an understanding to children that the Clean and Healthy Lifestyle needs to be implemented on daily basis, especially during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
Apart from getting vitamins and medicines as needed, the children also received milk and snack packages. To make it even more exciting, the children were also entertained with various games, invited to sing, coloring competitions with various attractive prizes.
This routine activity is supported by the Herbalife Nutrition Foundation (HNF) which is committed to supporting government programs in fighting malnutrition and ensuring children get good nutrition for their growth and development. On the other hand, HNF in collaboration with BCC also launched a Healthy Breakfast Program for 107 students at SDN 5 Besakih, Rendang, Karangasem.
