Luh Renata lives with her Uncle and Aunt. Both of her parents died due to illness when she was a toddler. Uncle and Aunt have 4 children; 3 daughters, all of whom are married and live with their respective husbands/families. And 1 son who is still single living in Denpasar.

Luh Renata’s parents left her a pretty good house, but the land that became the yard of the house was sold to pay her parents’ medical expenses when they were sick. The location of her parents’ house is just across the street from the location of her Uncle’s house. Luh Renata is at her parents’ house only for sleeping, because at her uncle’s house there is only 1 bedroom, apart from sleeping she is at her uncle’s house.

Source of income:

  • Her uncle; Ketut Gading works as a project worker with a salary of Rp. 100,000 per day. If there is no project work, he makes skewers for sale. The rest, together with his wife, raises several cows and pigs.

  • Free school fees. Pay for clothes and books once a year or when necessary.
  • Luh Renata’s pocket money: Rp. 5,000 per day

Condition of the house: Luh Renata’s parents left her a pretty good house, while her uncle and aunt’s house is simpler, but still livable.
