Ni Nengah Musti (65 y.o) lived alone in a hut in the middle of the dried field, without electricity and water system. Everyday, she poaches “palm wine” and process it to become “palm sugar”. Her net income is approximately at 10,000 rupiahs in three days, almost reach 3,500 rupiah per day, she survived from the mercy of her neighbors.
Ni Nengah Musti is not strong enough to walk anymore. Even to stand, she has to use a cane. Thus, to take water from Banjar Kanginan cummunity hall, located at approximately 250 meters from her house, she’s often helped by children passing in front of her house or by her neighbor.
And the condition of her bedroom is far from proper, with soil as its base and bamboo wall. The only “friend” for her is radio, because it can be turned on by using batteries only.
