Nengah Rai lives alone in her house which is located on the top of Cemara hill, her house location can be reached by car if the soiled road is not wet/ or there is no rain, because if it is raining, the soiled road become slippery so we have to go on motor bike. Her husband has passed away, and her only daughter has been married and lives in the same village, and often visits her.
Source of income:
- Nengah Rai works as a farm labor, during the harvesting period (3-4 months) the yield is not enough, most the yield is in the form of cassava. She sometimes also sells grass for cow feed, for daily meals she takes cassava and vegetables from the garden.
- In order to gain more money, she also take care of a cow which is belong to her neighbor.
