Sang Ayu Kompyang Nadi is a widow whose husband died 6 years ago. They have 6 children, namely:

1. Child I: male / married and living in Denpasar; rarely comes home
2. Child II: left school, works as a labourer in a sawmill
3. Child III: Class 3, Senior High School
4. Child IV: left school after Class 3 Junior High School, works as a labourer in a sawmill
5. Child V: Class 6 Primary School
6. Child VI: Class 4 Primary School

Source of income:

• Sang Ayu Kompyang Nadi: works as a farm labourer and receives about 60,000 Rupiah per day. She works about 15 days per month.
• Child II: works as a labourer in a sawmill and receives about 60,000 Rupiah per day. He works about 10 days per month.
• For extra income, they look after a cow belonging to their neighbor.

The Condition of their House: the house was built using government funding of about 8 million Rupiah approximately 5 years ago but was not finished; there are no doors or windows. There are 3 bedrooms none of which have doors or windows. Only two rooms are used: one room for Sang Ayu and Child VI and the other for Children II, III, IV and V. The other room is empty. The kitchen has a lean and is close to falling down.
