On Saturday 18 April 2015, BCC team together with Mrs. Jen Lupton and Mrs. Julie Harrison, from Little Hands – Big Hearts – Bali, visited several villages in Karangasem regency.
Fitri Anisah, an orphans who suffer from malnutrition in Jl. Gajah Mada, Gang Perkutut No. 15 Lingkungan Dangin Sema I, Amlapura, Karangasem. We delivered drugs from Mr. Anthony Kiro, our donor. Unfortunately she died 2 months ago and we only met her brother and grandma.
Ni Nyoman Alit, an elderly woman who lives in a shack in Banjar Dinas Seloni, Culik Village, Abang, Karangasem. She is blind and has hearing impaired, even she cannot cook by herself. She has no children, but lucky her nephew takes care of her. Our visit was to monitor the progress of her house renovation project which started since 1 April 2015.
Ni Wayan Sare (P/60 years old); a poor woman in Banjar Dinas Seloni, Culik Village, Abang, Karangasem. Our visit was to monitor the progress of her house renovation project which started since 1 April 2015.
We also met with the Chief of Culik Village, Bp. Ketut Sukarta, to coordinate houses renovation project for Ni Nyoman Alit and Ni Wayan Sare as mentioned above.
Banjar Ancut, a poor area which clean water shortages in the Tista village, Abang district, Karangasem. Purpose of our visit was to attend an invitation from local residents for Melaspas Ceremony. They hope the water wells that have been built can be a solution for the clean water problem. Source of fund for construction of these wells was from the villagers, and raising funds from our donors in cooperation with Little Hands – Big Hearts – Bali community.
