  2. Child II; Ni Kadek Juliantari (female / 5 / attends pre-school), pocket money for school 2000 Rupiah per day, school fees 1,000 Rupiah per month
  3. Child III; I Komang Artayasa (male / 2 / not at school)

Source of income:

  • I Putu Suardana: works as a labourer in a workshop making Sanggah (a small family shrine) from stone. He receives 75,000 Rupiah per day and works about 15 days per month, depending on orders for the shrines.
  • His wife Ni Kadek Juniari: works making a range of handicrafts by plaiting ate (a plant similar to rattan) while looking after the children at home. She receives about 100,000 Rupiah per month
  • They also have some chickens

The condition of their house: there is one bedroom with a bamboo bedframe on which all 5 sleep. There is no mattress. There is a kitchen. Their house is in the middle of fields and can only be reached by walking about 300 metres down a steep and narrow path.

  • There is a water supply
  • They own the land
