On Friday 13th May we visited the Kabupaten of Bangli along with some potential donors to survey and assess the houses of several poor residents who, according to the plan, will be supported with new houses under the direction, tour guide and manpower of PT. Bali Eka Jaya.
During the visit, PT. Bali Eka Jaya was represented by Bapak Ketut Sugita along with others from the company.
Poor residents involved in this survey were:
I Nyoman Merah (male / 50); a poor resident of Banjar Undisan Kelod, Desa Undisan, Tembuku, Bangli
I Nyoman Rencana (male / 38); a poor family in Banjar Kebon Kangin, Desa Peninjoan, Tembuku, Bangli
I Komang Ariadi and his wife Ni Luh Mulianingsih; a poor family in Banjar Kebon Kaja, Desa Peninjoan, Tembuku, Bangli
I Komang Wijana (male / 37); a poor family in Banjar Kebon Kaja, Desa Peninjoan, Tembuku, Bangli
I Wayan Selamat (male / 32); a poor family in Banjar Penarukan, Desa Peninjoan, Tembuku, Bangli
All the residents mentioned above were selected and confirmed by the team from PT. Bali Eka Jaya.
After the survey, it was decided that the residents who would receive new houses were I Nyoman Rencana, I Komang Wijana and I Wayan Selamat. While the family of I Nyoman Merah would have their house renovated.
In addition, we visited the family of Ni Wayan Karniasih in Banjar Penarukan, Desa Peninjoan, Tembuku, Bangli to see their new house which was provided with assistance from Sun Island.
After that, we left for the Kabupaten of Klungkung to visit Ni Nengah Masna and Men Linggih. These two needy women were provided with a new house by PT. Bali Eka Jaya in 2014.
